Boosted / Augmented Hellspinner Guide

Pretty much every current day soldier is looking to eventually use a Boosted/Augmented Hellspinner as a main weapon and they do so with good reason.  The Boosted/Augmented Hellspinner is pretty much the top of the line in ranged weaponry that a soldier can use.  It has very consistent damage, a very high minimum damage and powerful specials that are useful in PvP.

This little mini-guide should help in obtaining your very own Hellspinner. To simply put it, you have to obtain a Hellspinner Shock Cannon and the appropriate anti-matter generator. Once you have them you simple combine them together (takes no skill) and viola U r UbAh!

Getting a Hellspinner Shock Cannon

Getting the Hellspinner Shock Cannon involved a little side trip to the Cyborg Dungeon. All the mobs here are in the level 70-75 range and while they are not very strong, they have plenty of HP and come in numbers. Since the Hellspinner is NODROP that mean you can't get someone else to do it for you. If you are level 160+ you can probably solo this part of the 'quest' but its always much easier to take a friend with you. If you do decide to take it on solo I recommend that you be able to instacast One-more-hit Healing as it will be needed to heal you mid-fight. In any event at least one person who goes has to have a non-energy/radiation attack, so if your going solo bring along 2 weapons.

First thing to do is go to the Cyborg Dungeon. This is located in the NE part of Greater Tir County near the coordinates 3225*2350. The Cyborg Dungeon looks like a little bomb shelter in the middle of a "C" shaped set of rocks. There are plenty of level 70ish borgs hanging around outside.

Once you enter the barracks the first tiny room should have 2 cyborgs read to turn you into gimp-meat. Dispatch of them. If at this point you are having trouble with the two cyborgs I suggest you turn back and bring some help as you will at times be required to fight up to 5 at once. Continue your way down the stairs where yet more cyborgs await. Finish them off. Now all you have to do is pretend that your in a mission, that is just follow rights (Ie: In every room take the door that is on the right). Some of the doors are harder to see, but don't worry if you miss one you'll just come full circle to the main room. Your ultimate aim is to get to the basement which is only a few rooms away and fairly quick to get to.

Once you get to the basement of course there will be more cyborgs for you to kill. Try to stay away from the door on the far side of the room though, the 'boss' and some more cyborgs are just beyond the door and it's probably best to clear out the basement first. Most of the mobs in the basement are hiding between crates out of Line of Sight so you may have to walk around and check things first. One thing to remember though... DO NOT attack Janella Gheron.  Janella is a NPC standing in the corner. She will not agro or attack unless you shoot her first. She sports a mean melee hit and a 1k damage shield. Definitialy someone you don't want to mess with. If you want a quick laugh try talking to her through /v and she will start crying and turn to the corner. If at any point you do agro her just run away, she doesn't really chase you all that much.

Once you get the basement clear proceed to the door on the opposite side slowly. On the other side is the guy who drops the Immortal Katana (forget his name), two Hellfury cyborgs and the Prototype Inferno.  Prototype Inferno is the guy your hear to 'see' but for now try to forget about him. The best thing to do hear is to try and let a few mobs agro you then run them back to basement and finish them off there. Since Prototype Inferno is on the other side of a table it shouldn't be too hard to get everyone but him out of that room. Once its just down to you and Mr. Inferno heal up and go ahead and attack. Be warned though, Prototype Inferno is TOTALLY IMMUNE to energy and radiation attacks. If you've made it this far he shouldn't be too much of a problem and after he's dead simply loot yourself your brand new Hellspinner Shock Cannon. Nothing left to do but turn around and leave, however cyborgs seem to spawn fast which means you'll probably have to fight your way back out :P

Getting the Fluctuating/Contained Anti-matter Generator

Unfortunately from here on in your quest for a Boosted/Augmented Hellspinner gets much harder. You WILL need a bunch of high level friends. Fortunately the anti-matter generators are not NODROP so that does mean that once demand has been met that you will probably see them for sale, but don't expect the Augmented Hellspinner part to be 'on sale' any time too soon though.

If you want a Boosted Hellspinner you want to obtain the Fluctuating Anti-matter Generator from the Obediency Inspector. Since it is for the lower quality version of the Hellspinner it is much easier to get. If you want the Augmented Hellspinner then you need to get the Contained Anti-matter Generator which drops from the Obediency Enforcer. Either way, head over to Eastern Foul Plains because both mobs spawn at the same spot.

Once your in EFP head to 1225*2775, this is a little set of buildings near the lake where a Fossegrim spawns. Once you get near that location it will become obvious what it is there you have to kill next.

In between the little shacks are three huge War machines all level 220+. Two of them are Order Automations and the third will be either the Obediency Inspector or the Obediency Enforcer. All three are Omni mobs and will attack clans on sight, so if your clan I suggest waiting a bit to the side. The Obediency Inspector will take about 2-3 solid teams to take down. Complete healing docs and calmers are definitialy recommended for the Automations. The OE however is a little more difficult and will require major support. The first time the OE was killed it took 50+ people. The way it works that the OI spawns when the servers get reset. From there on, every time he's killed the OE has a small chance of spawning in his place. If your after the OI but find the OE in his place... try a week later or hope for a server reset.

From here on you are on your own to kill the OI/OE. About the only advice I can give is to have a few calmers try and calm the Automations ASAP. Its hard but can be done. Once you get your respective Anti-matter Generator simply just add it to the Hellspinner Shock Cannon like a cluster to an implant. Then bask in the glory and /s I r UbAh!
